Meggernie Castle

This is the impressive Meggernie castle, looking at it's very best in the May sunshine. There is a very impressive lime avenue leading up to the castle, where once 46 prisoners being held in the dungeons of the castle where taken out to be hanged all at the same time, the authorities from Edinburgh being too slow to come up and administer justice in a more appropriate manner. The castle is also supposed to be haunted. There is a great deal of history in Glen Lyon!
