This is the agro-forestry site in Glen Lyon, established by BIFF (Breadalbane Initiative for farm Forestry) in 2008, and grazed by the above mentioned little pigs. Although it looks very rushy, ground conditions here are actually fairly dry. A range of native broadleaved species are planted in the tubes, the double staking should keep the pigs from pushing the trees over. On this type of fertile site, the trees should grow quite quickly, and, no doubt, the pigs will enjoy the shade.
