AGM at Drummond Hill

After our trip to Meggernie, we had a short AGM at Drummond Hill, and spent the afternoon looking at Scots Pine along the main ridge. Drummond Hill is managed by the Forestry Commission, it is the oldest known plantation forest in Scotland (first planted in the early 1600's by the Black Duncan, Earl of Breadalbane) and is very prominent in the landscape off upper Tayside. Capercaillie where re-introduced to Scotland at Drummond Hill in 1837, and a small but stable population still resides here.
