Video- Source of the Tay

This is as close to the source that I managed to get yesterday. From the point I GPS-ed, I make it that I was within 200 metres. You can see the conditions here. Following a watercourse, it should not be possible to get lost, UNLESS there are waterfalls on the watercourse, in which case this kind of situation can be very dangerous. Mist plays tricks on you, judgement of distance becomes obscured, every little knoll looks like the summit, but is in fact a false summit. Your hopes rise and fall with each one you come to. It was taking me too much time to navigate through this, and I decided to stop at this point and make a retreat. Anyone going up here should really have a second person with them, and be 100% sure of the weather forecast. It was actually pretty clear today, just not up here. Ground conditions were also extremely wet and slippy. Not a place for the faint-hearted.......
