The Source of the Tay (almost, maybe)

Yesterday I went up to the recognized source of the Tay on Ben Lui. It is marked on here at the point of the biro, and quoted in this book, The Tales of the Tay. However, we beleive that this might not actually be the source, and that an alternative exists, which is both a stronger watercourse, and longer as well. We are aiming to reach this other source at the end of the survey, to bring up the total 1000 miles.
The other thing to mention is that I did not quite get there, as the mist and rain closed in quickly, making navigation extremely difficult. Following a watercourse is all very well, but not if it is falling down over a series of steep ledges and cliffs. So, my journey to this potential source of the tay only took me to within 200 metres, over 3000 ft up a seriously scary mountain with almost zero visibility. At one point, I was seriously concerned I would not get back down again. Such are the moments we have had so far on this project. Photographs and videos of this journey to the source of the Tay are included below. On the way back down, I was able to slide on my arse over 1000 ft down on the wet grassy slopes, and only hit a rock once!!
