The steep, steep sides of Glen Lochay


This photo illustrates how steep some of these hills and watercourses are. You can see the amount of bracken that is present here. The lines of trees, mainly birch and alders, are following watercourses, and this is where a dis-proportionate amount of the biodiversity in these glens can be found. Last year we were going up and down some of these hills twice in a day........
