This is an incredible find. The tree growing nearest to the Source of the Tay is an aspen, here growing at almost 2200 ft. This is potentially the second highest record ever made in the United Kingdom, and, as native woodland charity, we are obviously extremely pleased with this find.
It is easily the highest ever recorded in the west of the country where the tree line is usually much lower than the Cairngorms area.......
