Vegetation

The vegetation at this top end of the glen on the south side is a lot more diverse than elsewhere in Glenlyon, and plants like blaeberry are able to grow well. Last summer, the blaeberries in Glen Lochay were seen to be fruiting profusely. Sheep numbers up here have been reduced by 65% in recent years. Perhaps there is a connection........?
You wont see blaeberry like this further down the glen.
