Tay Western Catchments Survey work re-commences

We re-started our survey work again today, Gordon & Nelly heading out to blow away some webwebs above Keltneyburn where they will be for 2 days or so before progressing up in to Glenlyon proper. Priority today is just getting started and getting back in to the swing of things, getting used to survey sheets, checking data coming back, checking equiment and just ironing out any problems. The aim is to survey 30-40 miles a week, weathering permitting. There is a great deal of support work required, speaking to owners and keepers etc, arranging access, being aware of any dangers, getting keys to gates etc. All of this takes time, and it is easy to get in wrong if you move too quickly or take things for granted.
I will be showing Gordon and Nelly how to use this blogsite, and they will be posting photographs and videos, on a daily basis as far as possible. So, if you want to keep up to date with what is going on in Glen Lyon this summer, and want to see some spectacular scenery, this is the place to be.
