We think a mink has made this hole, tucked away in a peat hag. Mink will decimate water vole populations, and might be part of the reason why we are not finding them in 2008 in some areas of good habitat that contain burrows from previous years. This hole is by the roadside near Lochan na Lairige.
There are no obvious tracks around the hole.
