This little group of five mature trees are unusual in that they are growing in the middle of a well grazed field, on quite a dry slope, not at all like aspen which usually grows in a riparian setting, and which is extremely palatable to animals and hence not usually found in fields like this. Unusual, but impressive, and possibly (probably) the furthest aspen up Glenlyon.

Aspen Group
This little group of five mature trees are unusual in that they are growing in the middle of a well grazed field, on quite a dry slope, not at all like aspen which usually grows in a riparian setting, and which is extremely palatable to animals and hence not usually found in fields like this.
