Inchadney Church was situated approximately 2km NE of the present church in Kenmore. There had been a settlement and a church here since early medieval times. In addition to the church there was also a manse, a cemetery and a holy well. Burials took place until 1760. The manse was occupied for another couple of decades and the church was dismantled in the early 19th century. Some grave stones were transferred to the new graveyard in Kenmore, but some are thought to have been used in making a road leading to the new castle at Taymouth. The exact location of the church is not known. The area was planted with trees and today it is difficult to imagine that not so very long ago, here was a settlement of some importance. All that remains of Inchadney is the well.
