Young pine regeneration at CCC

We are currently doing some survey work at CCC to see how well the regeneration is progressing. The middle part of the site is actually very good, with very little signs of borowsing in the season just gone by, but the area is very variable and many areas have little sign of young trees at all. There is a carpet of young birch regeneration on this site as well which is more difficult to make out at this time of year. A structured survey across the site will give us a better feel for how things are progressing.
