Red Squirrel in the Birch Trees

As usual, Nelly has came in today with some nice little video clips. This is quite a large red squirrel having a hunt around in the birch trees, this time on the lower Dochart. You can see here what a dark tail he has. Although red squirrels need conifer trees for most of their requirements, it is surprising how often they are seen in broadleaved woods as well, and just emphasizes how all these ecosystems are interconnected to a greater or lesser extent......

More later.
